Why is all this spam stuff popping up on this small local forum.

An unfortunate part of it all. For some reason, they think they can actually advertise that way. In any case, I've notified the administrator so that stronger measures can be taken. In the meantime, all I can do is delete the posts and ban the spam accounts.

That is the best way to get rid of it. It happens to all forums you just have to monitor the situation.

Ok its like this week they all have been posting the same stuff. But now it seems to be getting worse

just be happy you didnt go to a false bestbuy website to buy presents like i somehow managed..... the spam i get on my email is unbelievable now...

With forum upgrades, it's getting harder for Spammers to target the big forums. Instead, they have to move on to small forums such as ours which aren't as well protected.

I've just been told we're now updated, so we should see much fewer bots for now.
