MY PERFECT NEW ELEMENT GOT HIT BY A BRUNK DRIVER!!!!! ARGH!!

Post by danielmiller82 »

Im mad.....
My perfectly new Element that I just got Friday got rear ended by a bastard drunk driver. I was at a stop light and BAM!!! totally screwed up the rear framework, the exhaust was dragging AND the breaks are screwed up...not to mention the rear bumper has cuts and holes all in it. The thing freakin had 170 miles on it. I'm going to try to get the guys insurance(who has already accepted total liability) to replace it..since by law they have to return it to pre-wreck condition. I have also hired a lawyer because my back is now screwed up again and my shoulders are started to hurt like no tomorrow.

I HATE DRUNK DRIVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He got arrested and when we go to court for the accident...I will try my hardest to get him locked away. He never deserves to drive again...what if i was in a small car with a baby in the backseat...the speed he was going..would have totaled a small car, injuring or even killing anyone in the back seat. I hope he gets what he deserves.

I am sorry to hear that Daniel. IIt looks like you are not aloud to have a new car. At least that drunk driver thinks so. I hope you will be ok. Let us know if we can do anything.

I had my Eclipse back one week from a bad wreck and a lady pulled out in front of me with zero time for me to react. Needless to say it was her fault and ruined the paint once again. Eclipse has been wrecked at least 8 times, one time my fault.

So sorry to hear that Daniel. I totally agree with you, I don't think they should have all these slaps on the hands with DD, punish them hard so they think long and hard before they try it again.
