when i order it for work, they call it red kelp, i dunno if its the real name, but i know tangs hate it, we had some in a 180 with 7 tangs and none of them ate it

it just grows from the rock..while cleaning...I have seen it in a few places around the tank growing from the rock.

It's a pretty color whatever it is, just make up a name and add the word rare, you could make a killing on ebay
