I wouldn't worry too much about it until the nitrites are 0. Once you get to that point do a water change and check nitrates, ph, calcium, alkalinity and magnesium.
Yes....may the games begin.....do you have any fish in it....you might want to get a green chronia or something real real cheap to help with the cycle....Also might want to do a 20% water change about every 3-4 days to keep it in line......then just want at least a month before adding anything else....let it settle.....most anything you put in before it really settles will die.....cost lots of money....and not very kind....the one fish will start the waste cycle and help build up the sand...also give some pods ect from the live rock a chance to get a running start... starting a tank is not a hurry up process.....need to bring a tank up rather slow....you will most likely get some hair algae then some red slime.....just let it get going good before you waste any money on corals or nice fish.
lol that sounds good...I was getting a little bored looking at a tank with no fish or animals...and anything to hurry up the cycle...you think I should maybe get a hermit and a snail or two as well?
start out with just the one fish and let it cycle.....get the water right ....let the sand grow....jmo....once it has cycled you can start adding some small sturdy things to help it mature. I know it will be a long month but anything else will just cost a lot of money in dead pets.
