Post by KrazyPlace »

I'm starting to look for a used tank, stand, and canopy. If anyone has any leads on something between 90G-125G let me know. Thanks.

I know someone with a 90 gallon. I don't know any details so I will get him to e-mail them to you.

I didn't get an email regarding the 90G tank... for fairness, have him post it for sale on the forum.

You should really look at that 240....everything you need and lots of corals...by the time you set up a 125 with lights ect would cost about the same...

Good price on the 240 too.

I told the guy with the 90 about this thread and e-mailed him. I am not sure how motivated he is to sell it.

Thanks guys for the advice, but I don't want to take care of a tank that big. I also don't have the room.

Custom Reefs? Is this Peter's new place or someone else?

I'm not sure when you purchased this tank, but I assure you, all the tank products are gaurenteed. You can bring anything back for replacement. #1 is the Quality Coral offered here.

I was going to let this drop but since you asked....I paid two months in advance for the tank....he did not pay the manufacture and when I got ready for the tank and mine was already torn down I was in a spot where I had to purchase his used tank which had so much cal build up I was cleaning it an hour a day. Rich finally stepped in and sold me a new tank at cost and took the old one. Trying to trust him I traded the large leather (about 14in) he is now selling for $180 for a Rose. New he had the best of the deal but just needed to move it... Trusted him and did not look at the Rose and when I got home it was and still is the size of a quarter. I went into his shop two months ago and tried to purchase some reactor media...it was 50ft away he said come back in an hour....I drove to Progressive Marine and got it right then. The Octoput 3000 I purchased from him was about two yrs older than he said from talking to the manufactor when it crashed... The Ice cap ballast I got from him crashed in little over a month .....I waited a yr for Ice cap to repair when he had some on the shelf trying to sell to someone else knowing they were all going bad. Need I go on. I would rather buy local than drive or ship but I am tired of getting the wrong end of the deal and the drive to Mobile has been worth it. He has been invited to several meetings and other than mine last oct he has not attended any ...but now that he has a new store and wants to sell to our group he wants to show up....This is a good group that mainly trades below store cost and gives away many products not a comercial venture. Many folks give away most frags ....and sell very few.. just do not want the club to become twisted with being comercial...want to stay where we can do best from all venders both local and away.

I talked with TB and please let me assure everyone, this store is under new direction and customer care is #1. These problems will not repeat themselves.

Don't worry our Terry our group will never go commercial. I am just letting these new threads ride it out to see where they go. I vendor that does people right will get repeat business, a vendor that shafts people will always get a bad reputation amongst our club. Making a buck is never more important than a persons feelings or there friendship. Now if he is turning over a new leaf that is fine, but you and others have had some negative thoughts in the past and that left a bad taste in my mouth. But if someone is willing to change that is great and i hope it is a sucess.

Well... since this is my thread... ANY vender willing to donate me a 125g tank, stand, and canopy will most certainly win over me and I'm sure even Terry. *hint* *hint*
