what the heck is this?

Post by ShagMan »

I picked up two of these in seperate ziploc baggies at the meeting (I was the last to leave)... They're happy in my 240G, but I'm curious as to what they are?? they're about the size of my thumb, and are attached to small rubble sized LR chunks, they flouresce under VHO, and are a little fuzzy, like they have small polyps.

A clearer picture might help, but I am guessing that it might be a toadstool frag of some sort, or mushroom of some sort, and/or some type of small anemone. Just a guess given that particular blurry pic.

P.S. You need one of those awesome cameras Brandon's got!!! :) Or get us another pic.

Scott's the winner! I found a ton of matching pics in RC's gallery section under the search term "Pavona". Looks like an encrusting, fast-growing SPS... cool!!

I can't take the credit for it. I knew Max brought some to the meeting.
Wanted: to set up a tank again.
