This was sold to me as "sea mat" which I am guessing is, or close to Zoanthus. Look at this and tell me what the difference is from normal button polyps.

"sea mat" is usually (IME) polyps that grow closer to the ground. Those look like pinkish zoos to me.

I'm speaking in buyers terms no scientific of course. For the science youll havta go to scott or xster...or the like :P

I purchased alot of these, only one set was attached to anything.

I still have those polyps here waiting on you....actually got some I pulled off the overflow to make room for the tunze. You need ta make a trip over dude!

Hello,
IMO I think sea mat grow in the substrate and the zo' grow on rocks and everything else.What you have looks like pink zo's or atleast that is what I was told when some were given to me
