Ditto's...I saw something similar on another forum but with only 3 return heads/nozzles per pump. Seems like a fool proof design if you can get enough water flow. I would like to see that done only add a piece of bendable flex pipe between the "t" and the nozzle peice so it is adjustible both horizontal and vertical.

OK, I got the mag24's in today... I threw them into the 240G, both on one end, to get the saltwater mixed and to just see how they performed... WOW.... in the attached pic, it's kinda hard to see, but the two pumps developed a LOW SPOT where they are on the left, and a HIGH SPOT on the other end of the 8 foot aquarium! I also messed up and let one of them flip over with the output pointing up... I had a saltwater fountain in my living room for a few seconds! I need to find out how to cushion these so that they're whisper quiet though, they're HELLA loud, just sitting on the glass bottom.

OK, sand got here, we unloaded it (my arms are tired!), and I poured 8 bags into the main tank. I used less sand than I was told by several people I would need, not sure about that.... but anyway, here's a few pictures... the tank looks like a big mocha/cappachino!

Josh...Just a thought but from experience when I set up my tank I would add a little more sand...it will settle some and move around. I know I wish I had put a little more in mine as I look at it now but I am not going to mess with it since it is up and going... ..if you are going to add anymore now is the time...I just measured mine and at the highest point it is 3in above the molding. I wish I had gone to 4in all across.

OK, I added two more bags for 10 total in the main tank,
and another bag in the refuge, for 3 total in there.
Here's a couple of random pics:

First pic is the sandfoam I skimmed off with the fish
net... the second picture is the manifolds for the
pumps... the ball valve is to bleed pressure if I
need to, however looks like I'm gonna be using
the pumps full-blast.

Josh, just a suggestion and in case you did not already know - I always add a union above my pumps but before the ball valve, just in case I need to change pumps for some reason. It makes it much easier taking the pump offline.

P.S. Looking Good Josh, can't wait to see when your first livestock hits the water. :) :D

Ask and you shall receive! I threw three green chromis' in there,
and I got the filter socks yesterday.... installed the filter socks,
and ran the pumps overnight... and it 100% cleared the tank.
I love these things. You can see that the pressure is too high on
the spraybars, they're putting divots into the sand, I'm gonna crack
open the ball valves and flatten out the sand, and see how that
helps. The refuge below is now filled with "good stuff", and I
dumped most of the live sand from my previous refuge into the
main tank, I have already spied several bristle worms crawling on
the surface last night. Here's the pics:

I'm hoping we'll get most of the liverock that we have on-hand (about 220lbs.) into the tank this weekend. The lighting parts should be here next week (bulbs/ballasts)... I still have to get all the sand sold off to get the VHO portion of the lighting.

The sand divots will/should go away once the live rocks are in. It will divert the flow somewhat. Same thing happenned to me when I was hooking up my tank. But great idea, can't wait to see how much flow after some lps's and softies are in there.
