Bad day to be a crab...

I've not seen the shell since last night in the pics. It wasn't around the scoly this morning, so either it spit the crab out and it lived by retracting WAY back into its shell, or another crab already laid claim to it. The Scolymia didn't have a "bulge" to it today so I assume it didn't swallow it.

yeah id look for sum unique identifing marks about the shell
that's how i keep up with mine

LOL, my eyesight kind of sucks so I'm lucky to see a lot of small stuff! It would have been neat to see what happened to the shell, but it was about 11:00 when I found it--would have been up too late even for me I imagine.

lol i think it's happened to us all
i used to have mexican turbo grazers, id leave the shells in the tank and my hermits would grow in to them
kinda odd seeing a blue leg hermit at that size lol
