I think a very very large refugium is the only way to keep these going for over a few years. I did really well the first three years but without a large refugium mine have died down. The new tank will have a massive refugium, i am sure of this.

Yep, mine's gonna be 55G.... but I don't get it, how do you keep the pump from chewing the 'pods up?? I understand that some people keep refuges that drain into their tank, with a gravity feed, but I know that most people with large refuges don't have this.

I've read that some get chopped but a large portion just get pumped up to the main tank.
