Question on branching Euphyllia

Post by Brandon »

Will branching Euphyllia form new branches in an aquarium environment?
I hear of people fragging frogspawn, etc.. all the time, but is it from new growths or just dividing up a wild-caught coral?

I've noticed the tentacles really getting bigger, but not sure if there is any sort of growth on the calcite base. I am guessing that these would be slow growing even if they will grow?

I have Branching Hammer (Euphyllia parancora), Branching Octopus (Euphyllia paradivisa) , Branching Frogspawn (Euphyllia paradivisia or divisia?)

And what about non-branching Euphyllia? Will the base of this grow? The only non-branching species I have is Hammer.
