Help, I glued a frag to my finger, how long do I have to keep my hand under water?
Now that I have your attention, my real question is: Has anyone tried alliying superglue gel directly to the stem of a shroom or softie and gluing to rock? If so what was the outcome. I've been using the float it in the rubble for a week and see what it hooks to or run a needle with fishing line through it and tie it to a rock for two weeks methods.
Both of these work well but take some time to complete.
Mine secreting that slime coating and then drifted away:) Mike suggested fishing line, threading it through the shroom and wrapping it around the rock.

Eternity, I will throw you in my tank and let you encrust over.

Yes, you can glue softies, but be warned that any more than about 15 seconds out of the water and the coral will start to burn due to the glue. Also, it's going to still be likely to detach and walk off. Just make sure it's a gel-based glue & you've got an elastic band or some toothpicks as a backup
Oh, and it helps if the rock is partially dry where you are gluing. A clean paper towel usually will suffice.
Thanks!

I have always veiled mine. Keeps it in the place you want it to be. Depends on the shroom on how long it attaches. I had a ric attach in two days and on the other end a shroom that took two weeks.
I used up half a tube of glue trying to get a darm mushroom to attach to a rock. Finall yfound some plastic toothpicks and Voila. The irritation even seemd to make them attach faster, three days. But that might have been my imagination.
They even pulled away from the picks after they attached
Beware the advice of those with dollar signs in their eyes.
Mushrooms will constantly move to places they seem happier when they have the freedom to move. The best bet is to use large netting. I have seen Brandon use glasses or shot-glasses to attach them before. He basically puts the frag in a shot-glass with a piece of rubble, or at least I think that is what he does.
