I bought 100 lbs of sand a couple of weeks ago.
Still under the carport
Been with without a diaper for over a year now after cookin and following Bomber's thread on rc. Weird sometimes, I use starboard so the halides really bake the bottom. (partial coralline) stays white for the most part.
My trick really high flow and frequent small wcs.
My wrasses are happy, but not fairies.

I am finally (after about 6 months of procrastinating) setting up my 90 gallon barebottom tank. Tonight I cleaned the tank and I am trying to get all the lighting together. Hopefully tomorrow I will get some water in it for a wet test and then I can get serious. I have no experience with BB but I have heard that you need as much flow as you can handle. I have an AM3000 on a closed loop, a couple of either Seios, 1100's, or possibly maxijets with the modification and I am starting with a MAg 12 for the return. I may try the Mag 12 and a Gen X Mak 4 for the returns when I get my new sump. You will also need some rigid air line tubing connected to some regular tubing so that you can vacuum up the detritus and some filter bags to put on the drain.
