I have to admit I'm surprised

Post by sb1227 »

I have been watching this idea for a couple of years, honestly thinking it would never fly. But after reading this article, I guess it's time to leave the option open. I'm honestly glad to see companies trying to come up with viable lighting alternatives, and leave it to PFO to get this one. I remember everyone saying T5 bulbs werent going to be worth it, and PC bulbs weren't worth it, so I'm willing to see what the opinions of users are.

But wait! Now go to the site and check out the prices of this bad boy. Now I can see why you have to look at the cost savings over years.

I have a hard time calculating present value out that long. The fixture will not last that long probably.

I am sure we will be using this technology in the future.

Yeah, but it's almost the only way one could justify that kind of a price with no assurances. I don't think I could justify that price at all, actually. :D

And I thought my fixture was a little in the "ridiculous" price range.
