Bristle Worms

Post by reefman8471 »

Here is an interesting and informative article on the bristle worm. The worm that most aquarist love to hate. Exceptions exist though.

I always thought they were kind of cool, really. Never had any problem with them, although they do get a little creepy when they get large.

Nah, they're puppy dogs  I have had a large bobbit worm (~14") that I consider as much a part of the tank as anything else (been in there longer than almost anything else). Of course, I have plenty of the typical bristleworms, too. I wouldn't consider my tank healthy if I didn't have them.

I doubt I'll be surprised to find a massive something or other when I break the 75 down.

I have to admit it shocked me a bit to find the one in the 20 that was about 10 inches long, I wasn't expecting it. I wasn't about to take him out. I figure if something has lived in there that long it's fine with me.
