Jim I have a Berlin Classic mated to a mag 9 I'm selling. Its no G2 but would work well on anything less than 100g.

how small of an area are you dealing with? If i were you i would go ahead and get the best skimmer you can get that way down the road your not buying another one becuase you are unhappy with the one you got. It took me 3 skimmers to get an ASM and i couldn't be happier now.

ideal i have 6 1/4 inch wide and about 19/20 hight i looked up the specs
of the g2 and the hight is to large.I could put the skimmer in with
the macro and get more room but still have a hight issue and ideas?
I guess i could put it next to the sump and pipe it in.footing wold me fine
but hight still a issue.

Here is a cheap one you could try:

How many skimmers have you used so far? I remember the Sea clone, Bakpak and the Super skimmer and none of them worked.
Wanted: to set up a tank again.
