Red Goniopora pics

Post by Amphiprion »

I got this guy from work (B&B for those who dont know me) in an attempt to rescue it. When I first got it, it had some dead spots and had a large piece of skeleton that was bare. After having it for about 3-4 weeks, I have noticed that it has incredible polyp extension and is already re-encrusting the surfaces of the rock (already regrew over skeleton). Anyway, here are some Before/After pics.

Nice one! Are those the kind that survive (it looks like it is)? I had one that was all cream colored for several years, I just recently sold it just because I wanted the space for something different.
Wanted: to set up a tank again.

Yes, they generally tend to be the ones that survive (dont really think I would have bought the little guy if it wasnt). I really enjoy it so far-has great polyp extension, tissue regeneration, polyp budding, etc. without extra feeding. Has anyone else noticed that the recent trend is heavy zooplankton feeding for people thatkeep these corals?
