Post by Amanda »

I have a question i have an aquanetics chiller i bought from online and when i received it the freon line was broke in 3 places  (due to not packing right) well anyways i fixed these places but when i turn the unit on the titanium "heat exchanger" has a whisling noise comming from it it doesnt appear to be leaking i can feel around the weld on it and no change in noise the exchanger is not dented or cracked my questions are is there any where to get one of these heat exchangers and not the whole chiller and second should the lines inside this thing be leaking even if its not dented ??? i took it to alot of referidgerant shops and nobody will touch it  this is an aquanetics ADIC 2-R

After you had the heat exchanger repaired did you have they system evacuated and recharged? Could any of the pieces have gotten into the line? I am not that familiar with chillers but I would imagine that they have an expansion valve and it could be blocked open more than it should be normally. This can cause a noise. I am not sure about parts either, but I would think the seller or the shipping company would be responsible.
Wanted: to set up a tank again.
