Ok I was reading up on the lighting for over the refugium and was surprized to find this. Talk about an awesome save on the power bill as well as fighting heat issues. We bought 2 right away. Will let you know what we think as time goes on.

Nice work and on the macro go with cheato you wont reget it. It does not go sexual like the calrup does. If you keep the light on 24\7 the calrup wont either but there is always a chance of the power going out, the blub burning out while you and Billy are wasting away in Margaritaville. Just my two thoughts.

Well of course! :) Haven't you seen mine and Jeff's setups? We use power compact security lights... 65w, but put out light like a 500w halogen light :) Good stuff.

I have been using that same bulb for 8 or 9 months with no problems. Great growth with them. I bought mine at home depot for $15 for two of them (in one package)
