I cannot believe my damsels are breeding. The last several weeks I thought I was seeing things. However, this is the 3rd batch of fry I have seen this month. I finally discovered one of the breeding places. When I turned the rock over I was attacked (LOL) by a damsel and there were at least 1000 eggs...maybe a bit less but not by much.
At night I see tha babies swimming in open tank water but when lights come on they dart away and are not to bee seen anywhere. I have added plankton stuff to the water. Since I have done this, there are babies everywhere. Sadly, some of the ones that made it to brine shrimp size have been eaten...but not all!

Breeding Damsels
I have 2 females swollen with eggs that havent layed yet. Out of my 9 damsels 2 are males. I hope I can keep the babies alive. However, with all the equipment and protein skimming I do not think the plankton will stay in the tank long enough for the fry to eat regularly.

Yeah unfortunately it is too hard to copy nature and them live.
