I think it is a lack of something in their diet when they pick coral polyps that bad. Ever feed nori, kale, or other greens?

I feed them nori & flake every other day. brine and pellet the next. Once a week I feed clams and cyclopses.

Well just as soon as I catch the sneaky thing. As you can see, he wants the clown behind him to try the bottle first.

I'll have to get back to you on that one, We are trying to make a trip that way, but can't say till it gets closer to the weekend. He is safe and sound in another tank till we meet up.

I never saw a fish so cunning as this one. We tried the coke bottle, didn't work. Tried putting a bottle right up to the tunnel he uses, didn't work. We were forced into trying to suck him out of his tunnel

Didn't work. Finally stuck a tube down into his tunnel and the other end into a bottle, YES!!! success. Maybe now the monties and acros will come back.
My suggestion, to myself, READ. Read all I can on each fish I am interested in first.
