Melissa's Upgrade (Gotta brag for a min)

Post by Brandon »

Gotta brag on Melissa for a min.

Her old tank was a 10 gallon walmart special, she was battling hair algae, cyano, and a bad case of planaria. The red slime was so bad things werent opening up anymore.. Just having a bad time of it because of the small amount of water. And to top it all off, a lot of the softies melted when we were without power during Ivan.

Well.. thanks to Mike & Leslie she has upgraded
Here is her new setup... she has done the rockwork, coral placement, etc.. I am going to enjoy having this in the kitchen. :) It is free of red slime, planaria, and hair algae.. no bad stuff at all..

Yay! :) Thank you Brandon!!

I got a few more pieces last night that aren't shown in these shots, but I'll have some pictures as soon as I get the pieces glued.

Nope, no Leslie's came with it. :)

Thank you for the compliments, my ricorida are doing MUCHO wonderful thanks to the MH...the one with the purple rim was just kinda pink on the rim....it's slowly turning the lovely purple and getting bigger. All of them are growing like weeds.

My baby torch frags I got from Waterworld are fluffing up. My brain is not doing so well, think it might be the light, so I tried to get it into the shadows last night. Frogspawn is looking GOOD! and Snoopy and Woodstock (Yasha Hashe/Shrimp combo) moved in at the front of the tank so I can see them all the time. Casper the Friendly Bi-Color Blenny is all over and nibbles at you whenever you've got your hands in the tank and Wilbur the Springeri Dottyback is just kinda there for right now. :)

Everything else is doing quite well...Shag...next meeting, can I get some macro-algae from you?

Yup, Fred Junior now known as Casper (the friendly Blenny) is a riot. He's so nosy.

Finally have BLUE stuff!!

Thank you guys for all the compliments....:D
