Was hoping a few people that test thier water would share the results with me so I know "real life" examples of what to expect. I have done alot of reading and like most other things ....there are alot of differences of opinion. So I figured I'd get some more opinions.

That's all I really test. Last time I checked Everything else (NH3, NO2, NO3, PO4) was near 0.

Today these were my readings:
PH: 7.8
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrate: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Phosphates: 0.2 mg/l
Alk: 2.5
Calcium : 420 ppm
Salinity 1.022
So my ph,Alk and Salinity are way off. Guess it's time to start adding the Sea Chem Reef Builder.

What unit for the alk? I use the dKh. Some test kits use meq/l. If it's meq/l that's not too bad. Maybe just add a little baking soda in your top off water next time. If it is in dKh, just add a little baking soda in your top off water for the next few times.
