phosphate remover...who used the group buy stuff

was wondering who has tried the phosphate remover some of us purchased in the group buy. What application ? I do not have a reactor so can this just be used in a mesh bag with decent effect?

I tried it but really did not see much improvement, though I don't test for it. I used it in a mess bag but had to rinse it repeatedly.

I got tired of messing with it and ended up throwing it away.

I've used it on and off since we got it. I have seen a lot less algae. Now the only time I clean the front glass is when I scrape coraline off. I have used it in a mesh bag and in a fluidized bed filter. I don't use much at one time but if you don't have any corals yet I wouldn't hesitate to use a lot at once. I always rinsed it before I used it too. If you want some call me and you can come over and grab a bag.
