Sebae

Post by megelBeagle »

I got a sebae anemone the other day. Still debating about which anenome fish to pair up w/him....
Id' like to hear from anyone who has experience pairing fish w/ sebae
I think getting a fish for him will lessen the shock of the move.

I heard tangs do well with them, ask shagman and brandon about them.

Somewhere (I can't seem to find it right now) there is a chart that tells what kind of clown is supposed to host with certain anemones. I think that Clarkii and sebae's are compatable but it is not always true. I have had skunk clowns host with Condi's and true percs host with Frogspawn, maroons host with goniopora and false percs refuse to host with anything. So it's pretty much luck.

I bought a sebae for my false perc, he did not like it. I bought a pink skunk who took to it at once. That was over a year ago. I moved recently and after setting the tank back up the FP dethroned him.

Go fig...

I had one with a clarkii for a long time, however I always thought that almost any clown would use them. Only clown fish I have ever had a hard time getting to use an anenome was a false perc.

Had a Clarkii that was to big for the sebae, he finally went to Amazon after he killed the poor thing. Sweet fish until he decided on a host, no matter the size.
