Just wondering did you put a charge on those batteries before you used them? I always charge my boat batteries good when I buy new ones.

Thanks Fishgills. You know what is even more sad. Our insurance agent just left, and basically they are not going to cover much at all on all this mess. Maybe they figured they had it made when they saw they were dealing with a woman, but needless to say, I had the last say, and man did I have a say for them!

You can always call your insurance company, complain about the adjuster and request that they send another adjuster. I had the same problem after Georges. I had a pine fall on my house and brake some of the decking under the shingles and they wouldn't fix it.
Wanted: to set up a tank again.

That is way too many trees, get some plastic trees and some astroturf for grass, then you are golden.

How's this for an idea. I'm going to turn it into something positive. Where my son is sitting on the oak root, I will turn into my second pond area. I'll get my spirits lifted one way or another over all this.
Poor Billy is pulling 12 + hours, 6 days a week. I'm going out now to clean what I can to save him the work, now that I officially heard the agent say in a round about way "Your Screwed"!

We didn't call our insurance company, since we had only minor damage. I think we lost 5 oaks and 2 pines, but they didn't fall on anything but a little shed.
I think I'll be raking until I'm 90 though.

Karen does have a good idea. We have a huge hole underneath one of the oaks that fell, we could do a pond too. :)

No way, I'm putting punji sticks in it and covering it with palm fronds.

Karen,

Did you call FEMA? There is a girl at work who had them out today or yesterday- they were paying her for not being in her home during the hurricane and all kinds of crazy crap.

Check into it.
