How long's your power out?

Post by KrazyPlace »

I didn't know if I'd have power to post this later, so here is a early poll. Don't answer until you're back up and running though!

Our power was only out for about 10 hours or so.... no backup power in place, but everything looks fine, I lost one SPS frag, that's it.

I was not at home at all, but when I got back at noon on Thursday, the power was already on. From speaking with a couple of our neighbors, electricity was out for approximately 10 hours.

I lost one lavender stag colony, and I am very happy that everything else turned out okay.

About 36 hours, no loss.

Power was out about 20hrs, I lost all my fish except a lawnmover blenny. Corals are doing fine , although my kenya tree looks like it might not make it.

I expect my power to be out for about 2 to 3 weeks. I'm not sure if anything is alive at my place. I went to panama city. If my fish are alive would anyone want to take them? I might be able to check this on monday but i doubt it. Not sure if i will have to go to work. I'm going to try to get back into pensacola tomorrow. If anyone has room and wants a purple tang, six line wrasse, 3 blue chromis, 2 gobies, harliquine shrimp and about 25 acro frags if they made it give me a call. 850-476-5446. I hope to be in town by tomorrow night and will be able to tell if this stuff is alive. I had an extremely large tree destroy part of my roof and an entire bedroom. Honestly if anyone has nothing better to do on sunday and wants fish give me a call. I'd hate to see them die. I have no generator or back up power supply.

Jenn's cell phone is 850-529-0012 She has a yellow watchman goby also and not much else. i also have a clam and some other lps coral. All of it is free for the taking if you want it. i will most likely not set my tank back up for a long time and if i do it will be fish only. I'm not sure for how long because i have that acro itch.

I just got my cable back on today (Saturday ~1:30PM). The power was back on by Thursday night. I was very lucky! I have an inverter (175 watt) I'll let someone borrow if they need it. I guess it's too late.

call me (Jeff or Laura) - 602-8378 (home) & 422-5640 (cell)

Fishfood, if you have anything left to give away, call me, 251-533-9265. I'm sorry to hear about your property damage, I'm glad to hear that you're OK. If you want hot food and a shower, and don't mind travelling to west Mobile, come on over!

We where without from midnight Wednesday night til 8:30 Saturday. Floated bags of ice to keep temp down and a borrowed generator that ran about half the time it seems everthing made it ok. What was really bad was looking about 1 block down the street to see the power back on Friday evening.

loss of power

Post by countrygal5053 »

 I am not totally sure but I am guessing 2-3 days. We left for the storm. Got home late saturday night, (left tuesday) and I have a total loss. Everything in my tank is just gone.. I am just so sick about it. I sure hope everyone else did better that I.[/b]

Josh, I talked to FishFood yesterday and he has set up a temp tank at his girlfriends house who has power to house the few things that survived. I think that he only had 3 acros and some zoo's survive but that is better than some.
Wanted: to set up a tank again.

power is still out yet all of my fish are still alive! Even the two puffers that havent even had an airorator on them. Only thing not healthy is the frag of devil finger i have him in my 3g nano now(which was never w/o power) I am getting my grandparents generator tonight after i get off of work, so i will get to run lights in my tank again! Hooray...as we speak...the devils finger is opening back up!!!!

I feel so bad for all of you who lost stuff...that was one of my main worries that my fish would all die.
