I am just wondering how long my car battery can run my inverter.

Hi, you don't have to worry if its starts to go low a buzzer will go off and you start you car or you can just keep it running just have a full tank of gas.

I just read mine and it does have a low voltage alarm at 10.5 volts and 10. volt shutdown mode. Plus the laptop batteries last 2 more hours, i should be good to go. Not sure how long you can run a car idle or how long it takes to charge a car battery back up but guess i will find out.

Hold it above 1500 rpm for a while to recharge them quicker. Alternators have two "modes" of charging. Low rpm and high rpm. The higher rpm will produce higher amps to help speed up the process.
Wanted: to set up a tank again.

Some one told me that harbor freight had them, but I have not tried to get one from them. You may try them.

I bought mine at Harbor Frieght two days ago, 700 watt for $80. But when i went ALL they had was 700 watts. Other places to try are Radio Shack, maybe boating, RV places like Marine stores. Also even Best Buy sells smaller inverters for laptops.

I picked up a small 175w at Walmart this morning, but it was the last one they had. I tried both the new I-65 mid-town and the west Mobile locations. I figure it'll keep enough power heads going to be OK.

Good luck guys!!

Didn't you also get some battery powered aerators too?

I agree get battery powered aerators, the hotter the water the less oxygen the water has so those would help immensely, good luck.
