Possibly getting a pallet of Southdown...Anyone want in?

Post by danielmiller82 »

My cousin is a manager at Home Depot. he is buddies with the manager in building supplies. He thinks that he might be able to get a special order pallet of Southdown Caribbean play sand. If he can get this i will need to buy the entire pallet. If any of you guys possibly want in on this let me know. He's checking on it for me right now just to see if he can get it from anyone. He will let me know if he can get it and how much it will cost (and how many bags is on a pallet)

I will keep you all up to date...

If you can get it at a reasonable price, I would be interested in 500-600 lbs (possibly more). If you do not have enough people interested, I can help pick up the slack on the extras.

if you do get this going id be interested in some bags also. My brother lives in mobile so I could get him to pick it up for me. I plan to have a 180g by the end of the year so I would need lots of sand :)

How much would a bag cost??

Hey Daniel

They did have crushed coral in a 40 lb bag for $35.99. That is the only thing of it I saw. I did not see it the other day. I did not know how much of it you needed. Are you still needing it?

Shagman...

Does your local source have this sand on hand all the time? I'll probably need about 250 lbs by the end of the year i guess so i'm starting the hunt.
