I just took my family and a couple of nephews to the Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans. I was not impressed with there "coral" collection or the saltwater reef setups. Only some sponges, soft corals, and anemones.
But I was very impressed with there collection of jellyfishes. They were way cool. Sorry everyone I forgot the digicam at home. Idiot!!!
But I had fun nonetheless. learned alot!

I went there, what a waste of money, i was bored the entire time. The so called real coral tank was worst looking than the starter reef keepers tank. There are pictures of the trip in my gallery if anyone wants too look.

The one in Chattanooga is a lot better. I can get you plenty of jellyfish if you want to set up a tank John, I think it would be pretty cool to have a jellyfish tank.

I like the aquarium in New Orleans. Although there coral section is inadequate as a whole it is interesting. The one that is in Gatlinburg is better as far as tropical species are concerned. The best coral display in a public aquarium that I have been to was Key West. Not very large but had quite a few reef tanks in addition to the other displays.
Wanted: to set up a tank again.

There is a reef keeper group in New England that raised funds to add a coral tank to their local zoo. They did a pretty good job too.

Wind me up!
Loved Aquarium of America's, most of it is devoted to the type of wildlife found off the coast of New Orleans, not much coral there, so I figure if you see some thats just an added bonus. Reasonably priced, lots of fun , and close to home, no complaints here. Seeing the seadragon in person was pretty awesome to me.
