Some new pieces
Here are some new pieces that I got last week. There may be more than one picture of some. I had a hard time capturing the true color.

Kevin, I got them from Ken (Nepthea). He is selling a bunch of stuff.
Terry, if I buy something I can remember. I like to look at the coral search for things that I can't ID, but usually have marginal success. Eric Borneman is having an online class on IDing Acroporas on Reef Central. There is a link to it at the top of the SPS keeper's forum there.

That's a lot of the problem IDing acros. Without a microscope and a piece of dead skeleton there is only a few things that you can look at. The shape and size (in general and relative to others on the same branch) of radial coralites are a good indicator. Shape of the colony is a fair indiactor but if it has been in captivity too long that is not great. The big problem is that two identical colonies can be sold as two different things because there is no set standard. The Acropora loisettae is a Steve Tyree limited edition, it may or may not be a loisettae but that is what it is sold as.
