So I have a lot of rubble sized pices of LR in my tank, and of course the new crabs love to rearrange. I don't have luck worth crap using super glue on rock so a questio arrises.
What to use that's non toxic and quick?
I know silicone is out, since it skins but doesn't cure fast. And the rock needs to go back in the tank fairly quickly.
SO does anyone know about Hot Glue? Yes the hobby stuff. Wht's it made from? It dries hard in a few minutes. Any harm in using this to glue together rubble?

Well personally when gluing rock together i always use Oatey epoxy and it hardens enough to leave alone within 10 minutes. Plus it looks natural after a week.

Glue corals
Hi;
Then what would you use to glue corals to live rock. I have heard of it being done but don't know what you would use if you have to keep it out of the water until the glue drys.

You can use super glue gell or the two part plumber putty epoxy...usually the super glue gell except for very large pieces. (this is for sps). Softies use other ways. like toothpicks and cheese cloth...With the super glue gel just dry the end of the coral....place a ball of gel on the end and let it skin for couple of seconds...then apply some more and place in tank where you want it...best in small hole or something to hold it in place...then hold till it is firmed up enough to hold on its own. Usually only 20sec or so. Make glue as smooth as you can so the coral will grow over quicker.. The cheapest glue is at the dollar store...make sure you get the GEL

I am having about a 75 percent success with super glue, even out of the tank. I have turned to 20 gallon tank into the frag headquarters. I think i am just going to turn the entire sand bed into rubble pieces and let the frags float until they are ready to attach. This seems reasonable to me so they can attach when they want and alot do not seem to glue well.

Here's what I do:
anemones: jam them under a rock, or cordon them off with something, in the area you want them to stay. If your tank is very healthy, then they won't wander, I've had great success with this method.
mushrooms / individual zoos: I have had zero luck with these... I end up just letting them roam around until they attach. Mushrooms especially are hardy, and will survive just fine like this.
zoo colony / GSP / mat-like softie: rubber band them onto a rubble rock.
softie with a trunk (toadstool, xenia, etc.) put a toothpick through the base, and rubberband that to a rock.
SPS: super glue gel, any brand, dry the frag, dry the rock (must pull out of tank, I tend to use rubble), use lots of gel, put back in water for it to quickly harden, be gentle. Works every time for me.
