UV & SPS Reaction
Ok.. this is odd, but I'm seeing polyps on some of my sps frags where I have never seen polyps.. Real good extension. I started running UV yesterday. Coincidence or any ideas?

I'll go take pictures. It's most noticable the wild frags that I gave you a piece of.. the mysterious green thingy.
No this is since just yesterday. Last water change was 30 gallons 2 weeks ago.
I did screw up and add too much of part one b-ionic too quickly and had calcium precipate out and back in.

Ok.. these pics aren't the greatest, but I was rushed.
This thing has never ever extended it's polyps:

This slimer's never extended this much:

Ok this is a pitiful sized piece.. but it looks pretty healthy.. and it was oddly fuzzy tonight. Crappy pic too.. but I was in a hurry:

That does look like really nice polyp extension on the green. Add any carbon or additives recently ?

I haven't added anything new.. The carbon I have in there has been in there about a week or two.. approx 4 cups of carbon. Time to change it actually.
I have to wonder if it the UV has cleaned up the water, killing normal food sources for these, I believe the skimmer has kicked in a little more. Maybe with less organics in the water they would extend further to try and get food.

Been running UV since Thursday, so 5 days total. I noticed on day 3 or 4 the water is very very clear now.. like there is no water in there. My water was never very green with organics since I run carbon, but wow!
I've stepped up the feedings a bit, phyto and golden pearls every night, no cyano or any other type of outbreaks.
I don't think I'll run it on a continual basis, maybe a couple of days every month or something. Everything still looks fine though so far... with the exception of my little crocea, and he seems to be having a little trouble adjusting to the light in the tank. He's just a little off color but in the central area, but otherwise seems very healthy.
