Need any feedback.

Due to the size of some of the older images I would like to make some changes to the gallery. One is to limit the image sizes to 800x600 and have Gallery automatically compress some of the older JPEG files. I have a script that I can use to scan through all of the older images to compress and resize them. I am going to do a full back up before I do this and backup our database just in case. The image quality of all of our images should remain the same, but those over 800x600 will be slightly smaller. I am one of the few with images that large, there are a few in other albums but I have most of them. Before I do this I want any input from the gallery owners so please give me some feedback. There are some great changes to the next version of Gallery but the integration into PHPBB is just not there yet and I do not want to make the move until they have it integrated properly so that our permissions remain the way they are now.
