Sounds like it might have bleached. Did you acclimate it to the new lighting?

If it is still green it will probably recover as long as there is some color left. If you transferred it from a tank with relatively low light to one with metal halides without acclimating slowly it to the metal halides it is probably just slightly bleached. At least it has color.

FYI, My welsophyllia's color intensity is also deterioating also, but not yet bleached. i can see very clearly that the color are not defined as when I got it. It has been sunburned by my halides, I think. Even though it is sitting on the sand. I might need to put it in the shade and see if the colors come back. This is the coral that I just received when you and Mike stopped by the first time.

Leslie, good luck with yours, and hope it recovers. Got the pics yet?

I placed a large trmpet coral in my 110 with MH's and over 3 months the "meat" turned from a pinkish brown color to almost completely bleached white (still had green centers). The only portions that did not turn while where the heads that were underneath (shadowed)

I have moved it into a less light intense spot in the tank and hope it makes it. Seems to be doin better now.
