FS/FT GEN-X/Mak 4

OK, I got this pump from fishfood. It works like a champ, has abt 3 hours of run time on it total, unfortunatly my wife thinks it 's just a little to loud for our living room...So if anyone is in need, lmk. Would like to trade for something quieter abt 1k gph, but will sell if need be...Make offer if interested...thnks...l8rs

Did you have pipe running all the way to the pump ? If so that is probably why it was so loud. I always ran tubing to the Mak 4's and the noise was at an acceptable level.

How did the pump work out for you? I'm looking for one and I'm thinking about the Mak4.

I live in an old house that not very forgiving on noise...I think I may have to drop to a mag 9.5 or so...I wanted to use an inline but I dont thinks tht's gonna work out....If your interested in a mak 4, lmk, this things in great shape...
