Anemone Cloning

Well, I am yet a daddy once again. When I was cleaning my glass today, I noticed my maroon clown acting kinda funny. She was darting from one side of the anemone to the other end of that same long rock that the anemone was on. I also noticed that my anemone has moved quite a bit. It has never moved that much before. After closer inspection, I can clearly see that the anemone has splitted, yet again.  :D
Woo Hoo!!!

The first split happenned approximately 6 months ago at work. I brought the "parent" to my personal tank. That clone is still well in the tank at work. These are not that pretty of anemones, but this is the only "commensal" one that I have been kinda successful with.

I will post pics as soon as I am able to take some decent seperated pics of the anemone and its clone.

Now I have to figure out what to do with it. :?

My bubble tip has split two times. It too is not the most attractive anemone in the world, but Golda LOVES it!

I have yet to figure out how to get the baby ones out of the tank with out destroying them!

Let me know how you do it!

You can try rubbing some ice cubes at the foot, and it should release. Make sure you freeze some RO water in a big enough piece. I havent tried in a while, but it worked before. Or you can try to point a powerhead directly at it, it will then start moving, then you can easily grab it with hurting it.

Good Luck,
John
