Well the fish and coral were in my 125 for a week and a half with nothing but 3 powerheads and two heaters and some vho lighting. I sent the tank back up without sand and like the looks. I'm a little upset because I lost my favorite acro. It was a bright blue Millapora acropora that i got from Martin and i think he got it from Adrian. It was awsome. I think i killed it by bleaching it with the MH. Like an idiot i put them back on the tank on monday without even thinking that they need to adjust to the light. The MH shocked the hell out of some and killed two. All the others turned nice and brown again. I guess I'll have to wait a few months for the color to come back. I also just added 6 frags from Dr. Mac and Sons. They are very nice. That brings my total up to 31 SPS. Next I need to get a calcium reactor. I hope the ones i got from Dr. Mac hold their color. 5 blue/purple frags and a lime green one with pink tips. One of the blues is a table which should look really nice.
I also stopped by aquaworks today. Tim sold everything in his display tank. Someone bought it all from him and he is going to start from scratch again. Hmmm, must be nice.

That sucks about the milli. I hope nothing dies when I swap tanks. What are you using for calcium now? I have about 20 or so sps, mostly frags, and I can't keep it above 380 using 30 cc each of B-ionic. I see some growth but not as much as I expected. That frag that you gave me (I have no idea where you got it or what it is) just started branching, but I almost killed it a few months ago in a kalk overdose. If you have any idea of the frag that I am talking about, how does yours look?
Wanted: to set up a tank again.
Which one? I gave you that deep green one a while ago. Mine doesn't look so hot right now but the growth patter is cool. It has made this odd table shape and the branches fused together. I hope it colors back up. I also gave you a red cap frag at one point and some stag that i got from Martin. The stag was from a wild colony and had lavendar tips when i got it but mine turned brown soon after i got it. I hope that 3 or 4 months down the road it starts to color back up. I'm upset about that milli. It was so cool. it was encrusting and was a bright blue and then just about a month ago it shot up a branch that was even darker blue. I think he is completely gone now. It really sucks becuase he was very nice. I just mix up kak with vinager every few days and drip it over the course of the day. To tell you the truth i have no idea where i stand with calcium. I was having to scrape coraline off the glass like every other week and my frags were putting out some nice new growth so i don't really test it much. If my new frags get back their color and hold it I know you would really like them. They are very nice blue and purple acros and that lime green one with pink tips is great.

The red cap is doing pretty good, not as fast a grower as my orange cap, but I really like the color. The purple stag is encrusting and I can see a few new axial corallites forming, so I expect branching to start soon. The frag that I was talking about was one you got two of when you bought some stuff from a guy that may have been selling out in Ohio (?). Mine is pretty much brown with a tint of green, but it is not in a very high light area and part of it bleached a while back. After I get my new tank up I will post some pictures.
I really like Dr. Macs corals. Did you buy the ones that he is just selling frags off colonies that he is keeping to propagate?
Later,
Scott

That green one is the one that has turned into an odd table type shape. It was a nice deep dark green but is brown from the move. Here are the acros i got from Dr. Mac. He says they need to be under 400w radiums to maintain this color. I have seen nice tanks with nice color under lower lights so i hope they stay these colors under my lights.

Well it looks like i'm losing more of my acros. I can't believe i did that to them. about 10 of my 30 are starting to receed around the base and others are almost all white
.
Scott, when that green one you got grows out i'd like to get a frag. That was one of the coolest ones i had. I thought i wasnt' going to be able to get any more acros because of how packed the tank was. Well its now time to look for some rare acros and save up.
All the new ones look really good. Good polyp extension despite the lose of color since i still haven't upped the MH time.
