I knew there was a reason we try to avoid that stuff.....yes it is cheap and readily available, but the calcium isn't high enough nor is the pH.

Just FYI, most seasoned reefkeepers out there test their makeup water for calcium and alkalinity and sometimes ph first before doing a water change. Maybe I should start this little routine in order to learn more of the water chemistry changes that are going on in my tank before, during, and after a water change. Please let everyone know if they experiences anything out of the ordinary with any brand of salts.

Well, I tested two different batches/buckets, and I'm ok, DKH is around 5 (little low?).
