Thats up to you....Some people run huge sumps on tiny tanks.the footprint of this skimmer is small so it would work in a 10g sump maybe even a 5g.

Ive also got a small skimmer that i got while in cali to use on the frag tank i set up in my hotel room. It is sitting in a box in my shop, if you would like to check it out or would like to see a pic of it text me at 228-990-7340 and i can text you a couple pics.

I have a oceanic bio cube protein skimmer that is brand new still in the box. It uses an air stone. I am asking $25 for it.
