I got the no-sump blue’s….Ok, I called Ocean View via or conversation at the meeting and was told they are a distributor and can’t sell to the public….I’m trying to get a 40g or 45g and install 2 dividers and add 2 bulkheads but, honestly don’t feel like being reamed by B&B, The WT (no offence) or Rich…Any sugg’s? Anyone got either of these two tanks that r used for sale? Doesn’t matter if scratched, its going under the stand.

When I called around for my 240G, the cheapest "asking price", if you don't know anybody, for a new aquarium by itself (no stand/etc.) was through Rich. Give him a call, you might be surprised. Rich quoted me 950 on a new 240G w/ two overflows (delivery extra of course). I would try Rich, Waggy Tail, and then B&B as a last resort. 40/45G is a weird size, I don't know anyone with one used... I surely don't have one.

you sure you can't squeeze a 55 in there?

Isn't there a guy over in mobile who makes tanks? Ask mike.

And I guess call AL/FLA plastics in mObile to see there price.

If you are handy you could build one out of 1/4" acrylic. I have a link to some information, but you had better be ready to do some serious reading:http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthrea ... adid=96763 I thought about building one, a 4x8 sheet of acrylic is less than $100 and you could make two out of it.

You could probally do the same with 1/8th" acryllic

here's an idea I have:

get a sheet of 1/2' plywood. Like $9.00

rip it down to make a box the size you want it.

On the long sides rip the acr. to fit the whole size. in the corners drill holes through all the pieces to make the box.

cut acr. to fit the bottom and sides.

silicone the crap out of the seems. Should probally only run 30-40 dollars.

Basically a wood box with an acryllic liner. Since it's under the tank and a sump, you don't need to see through it, or be pretty. Then you can drill plumb and go crazy.

Can't say I have ever seen a wooden tank... or didn't recognize it as one if I did.
