I think Zack had some nice halide bulbs and some fixtures he'd be willing to let go for fairly a cheap price. Check out his thread in here. His screen name is redphoenix, in case you didn't already know. If someone doesn't dive on it, they are just going to get thrown away, so I'd check back soon.

Well, Acros may be pushing it--except for some, which you can keep just fine close to the top. Things like green slimers are more your speed. The rest of what you listed should be fine.

can you give me a few examples of acros i could keep? i kept the pocillipora you gave me easy. also capricornious ( i know i spelled it wrong) under only 260w cp in the 55. think i could do the same with this? if i wanted more i would have to drop a metal halide right?

Oops, my bad. Plenty of different types of Montipora, Seriatopora (birdsnest), Stylophora (cat's paw), many types of staghorn Acropora, as well as cluster species, Pavona, Porites, among others.

Nope. It went up in smoke like the rest of it. Beav has the skeleton of the mother colony. Lots of people around here have pieces that I gave them, so just ask around.
