moving help

moving from panama city to pensacola i have a 100 gallon with a yellow eyed tang a yellow tang and a tomato clown i have one 20 gallong setup already and cycled in pensacola...i also have a 20 gallon in storage i was wondering if i could do a 10 gallon water change on the 20 that is cycled and use the 10 gallons to cycle the new 20 quicker ?? after cycled i guess i could put the tomato and a tang in one 20 gal. and the other tang in the 2nd 20 gal. any advise is appreciated

Yes, it would be fine to do a water change on the cycled 20 gallon and use that old water and put it in the new 10 gallon. Also, if you have any biological filter media from the cycled 20 gallon you might want to use some of it in the new 20 gallon. Will you be moving the 100 gallon to Pensacola?

thanks for the info yes i will be moving it i am going to try and save some of the water but it will be hard ....

will the 10 gallon water change hurt my 4 mexican turbos i guess i could put them in a container until i got the 10gallons back in

No it shouldn't hurt the Turbo's....how long do you expect to take on the water change?
