Hey all, was wondering, My cleaner shrimp molted, should I leave the molted carapace in the tank for tank mates to enjoy or are we talking decay and raised nitrates here?

That should be just fine. Since shells are made primarily out of chitin and a tiny amount of calcium carbonate (and even smaller amounts of other things), they are relatively 'safe.' Because of this, it takes them a long time to break down, so it is not going to be a problem for the tank.

I never take mine out. The crabs usually eat it.
