Here are a few pics of one of the tanks at the Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg. Thought we'd stop by while we were there, was suprised to see the nice 600 gal plus reef tank they had. Met the supervisor who cares for the tank, real nice guy. Also a couple from the pacific tank, it had some nice anemones. One of the very cool sea dragons, I'm kind of partial to them.

Cool. I have always liked Metridium senile anemones. Too bad you can't keep them in temps over 50. They seem to have a decent reef, too. The leafy seadragons are probably my favorite type of syngnathid. If I am not mistaken, I believe that they were one of the primary things that the Aquarium of the Americas had flown out of N.O.

We were going to go to the Ga. aquarium, but didn't really have the time. I would rather go when I'm not so rushed. That's the next trip.

I thought they were fascinating. It was definately a coldwater tank.
I didn't realize the seadragons were taken out of N.O., that makes sense though. I thought it odd that they would make it when they lost most of the other critters.
You might like this pic, I was glad it came out pretty good...You really don't see this much. I jumped at the chance to get a pic of it.
