I went to the new aquarium on thanksgiving and it is simply amazing. I will post pictures when i get back in town.

Sweet! I figured it would be good. I had no idea they were doing freshwater biotopes. The pictures are tantalizing, so I will just have to see it for myself.

Those are great pics! How big was the display with the Discus? It's so nice to see fish like that in a large display.
It is awful hard to be patient, but I just hate to be "herded" thru those places when there are tons of people.

If I had to guess I would say that the discus display is close to 300 gallons. It was very busy when we went and i can't wait to go back when i can spend more time on each exhibit. We spent a little over four hours and could have easily spent more if it wasn't as crowded. When anyone does go i suggest to buy your tickets ahead of time because we were lucky to be able to go at all. They only let a limited amound of people in every hour and we luckily able to go on thanksgiving day because wednesday, friday, saturday were all sold out.
