Well, It busted my A$$ this past weekend, but it is finished.

225 Gallons (72"L x 30"W x 24"T)
Twin overflow boxes
Two 1.5" drains
Two 1" returns
Deltec AP702 skimmer, gravity fed at 600 gph
Two Tunze Stream 6100 on a 7095 controller
Three 250 watt DE AB 10k bulbs in PFO mini pendants driven by PFO HQI ballasts
Three 60" VHO (2 super actinic, 1 white actinic)
35 gallon sump
Mag 24 return

Wow, that is nice. Do you feed the skimmer off the return or the drain or does it have it's own feed pump and a recirc pump?

Thanks all.

The skimmer is fed directly from the overflow boxes by gravity. The skimmer discharges to the sump for return to the aquarium. The rate of flow is controlled by the Mag 24 return pump. It is throttled to 600gph.

The skimmer has two Eheim 1262 recirculating needlewheel pumps.

I am slowly getting the SPS program up and going. I have about 30 now if I do not lose anything. I will be fragging a number of corals for the purpose of selling or trading.

Unfortunately my camera sucks. I have been pestering the wife to buy one of the really nice 8+ megapixel cameras for her business. No luck yet.

Thanks to everyone else for the compliments.

Whats really funny about the whole new setup is that every penny I spent on the tank was saved from either selling my previous equipment or making cash on the side either selling fish tank cabinets, re-selling used tanks in the paper, or believe it or not a little yard work on the side. None of our normal income was used. I did blow my coral and fish budget by going way overboard on the skimmer. It also pays to watch for quality used equipment and tanks.

Nice looking setup.

I really like that gravity fed idea. That way you get 100% of the nasty crap right off the top of the water. How much skimmate do you get running that skimmer?

I am skimming a wet half a quart or so a day. I don't think there is much to skim yet.

The tank looks outstanding and I really like the way the skimmer is set up. Very clean job with all of the plumbing too.
