That's the reason I don't have any blue legs and only a couple of scarlets and zebras.

You need to get some of them large hermits from the beach and put in your tank. That are the most harmless hermits that I have seen.

Astreas' are temperate not tropical snails. They also are unable to right themselves if they fall over in sand. They are not really ideal for reef tanks.

I took care of most of my blue legs with the interceptor treatment I did. They took out most of my scarlets. I love the scarlets.

Not necessarily true. There are plenty of Astrea sp. in the Caribbean (which is tropical). It depends on where they are collected. The vast majority of Astreas collected for the hobby are from either south Florida (miami area, Keys, etc.) or the Caribbean. I have plenty of tropical astreas and have had them for many years (without replacing them).
