I'll be here for another week, and I have a buddy that can help me while I'm gone for the next couple of months (I'm currently on clinical rotations), so it's no problem.

To answer your question, yes, I'm planning to take a temporary hiatus from the hobby, because I will probably have to move after graduation, and don't want to transport all this stuff with me.

After I sell the livestock, I plan on selling the tank/equipment (65g AGA reef ready tank, Aqua C EV-180 skimmer, 35w UV sterilizer, 3 reio seios, 250w SE MH with 2 VHO setup, etc).

I would be interested in the Powder Blue. I can't do anything about it though for a week or two if that is ok. Tell me how long is the 65 gallon and how long have you had the Powder Blue?

Thanks for your interest, and great questions.
1. Not a problem with the timing, give me a call whenever you are interested. 334-467-8391. I have to warn you that it is first come first serve, though, for all of this stuff that I'm selling.
2. The 65g is 3 feet long. This PBT is doing great (as are all of my fish and corals), but I'm sure that he wouldn't mind a larger tank.
3. I've had this beautiful powder blue tang since April '05 (~6 months). I purchased this fish from a friend who had it quarantined in his system for 6 months, and in that time, the fish had outlived all of the other PBT's that he bought.
The fish has a great appetite, he is eating nori daily, as well as flakes, pellets, and spirulina-enriched brine shrimp. I also supplement with Selcon. The colors are bright and the fish has been thriving in my tank since I acquired him. He is chubby and healthy, and has NEVER (almost unbelievable!) had ich.
What's interesting is that most people would claim that it is impossible to keep a PBT not only in a 65g, but also with another tang. I've managed to do this successfully, which I think demonstrates not only that I take great care of my livestock, but more importantly, that the fish is extremely hardy and healthy, especially for a PBT; however, I am hoping that the future owner is experienced and has an ever bigger tank. You will not find a hardier pbt, guaranteed.
Sorry for the extra long post, but one more thing....I plan to give for FREE my cleaner wrasse to the new owner of the PBT. This wrasse is simply AMAZING- most people will agree that cleaner wrasses are short-lived because they never learn to eat fish food. Guess what? Not only does this fish eat the food that I give him, he also eats nori! He picks at the nori right there with the tangs. It's incredible. I have had this cleaner wrasse for 6 months as well, and yes, he does clean the tangs regularly.
