Mobile Bay Reef Keepers

I'm considering adding an Arrow Crab to my tank. I have several small pistol shrimp. Do you think he would bother them? I think all my fish are fast enough to get away. I just don't want to get something that will eat my current live stock. I have taken everything out of my tank that could eat each other....as far as I know. I have a Serpent Star....I haven't seen him bother anything. Have you ever heard of a serpent star eating other fish or inverts? What are your opinions on Arrow Crabs? I have FOWLR.

I have had two in the past and really enjoyed watching them. They never bothered anything but bristle worms which is there favorite dish.

I do not see a problem in the least unless the Arrow Crab gets stupid and goes around the shrimp's nest too often.

Thanks. I know I have plenty of bristle worms for him to munch on. I had one in the past but only for 2 days....I suspect my Flame Hawk ate him....but I got rid of him recently so I'd like to have another Arrow Crab.

They will find bristle worms you did not know you had.

I had a bad experience of the one I had years ago eating my cleaner shrimp that I just put in the tank. Ever since then I have never gotten another one.

That would piss me off! I may reconsider getting one. Although if he killed my yellow tail damsel I wouldn't be upset. He's a mean little sucker! Picks on every new fish I get. I regret buying him but he's hard as crap to catch.
